Eight minor injuries were reported, but none of them was in danger.
A storm which hit Leandro N.Alem, and the surrounding cities of Misiones province, on Saturday caused serious property damage to around 40 homes, manufacturing facilities, and businesses.
Alem was the epicenter, about 83 km south of provincial capital. Heavy rains were reported, as well as wind gusts up to 150km.
Roofs were torn off by the wind, in particular in several warehouses and homes. A large area of the city also lost electricity.
Eight people were also in need of assistance for mishaps that occurred during the storm. They are not at risk.
Some victims chose to evacuate themselves, while others were assisted by firefighters, police officers, and civil defense personnel.
The governor of Misiones Oscar Herrera Ahuad traveled to Alem, where he met with Matias Sbely, elected mayor and director of local hospital to discuss the efforts to be made.
